Spring Break Camp April 4 -8, 2011
Foxwoode Hunt Club proudly offers
a fun event-filled spring break camp.
We specialize in rider education, safety and horsemanship. The
understanding of horse care goes hand in hand with a skill for horseback
riding. Our goal is to make learning fun and exciting for all ages. Whether it is a first experience on horseback, or you are a current student wanting a weeklong training session, our 5 day program can give you what you need. Riders between the age of 5 and infinity are encouraged to attend. All classes are split into groups bases on riding level. We assign you a horse or you can use your own. Riders gain the experience and knowledge of growing with that horse each day along with learning its proper care and maintenance. This will help with the bonding process, allowing the lessons to be more rewarding! The cost includes your horse for the week, 2 riding lessons per day, an assistant to help with the education and care, equipment for the horse, and only 5 riders per group. Each session only allows 10 riders, so spots will fill early. Hours of each clinic session are 9:30 to 3pm. Arrangements can be made with Foxwoode, in advance, for working parents who might need help before or after hours. The first day each session begins with a meeting in our furnished observation room for introductions to Foxwoode staff as well as horse assignments. Sessions will also include but not limited to a ground lesson on basic horsemanship, (Such as clipping, grooming, tack care, horse care safety, loading and unloading, etc.), and classroom demonstration. The last day riders will be placed on teams and compete for prizes with competition both on and off the horse. Testing to include a grooming contest, dressage test, or jumping course. Then a Jeopardy type knowledge bowl will round out the day. Space will be limited to a first pay basis. We will accept individual day campers for $75/day, or $250/week. To reserve your spot today, Please fill out a registration form and return to Foxwoode Hunt Club, 2020 E. Rose Center Road, Holly, MI 48442 with your non-refundable $75.00 deposit. Foxwoode Hunt Club reserves the right to cancel any session due to the lack of interest, and will refund monies if we can cancel. Refunds less $25.00 administration fee will be given if rider must pull out of clinic due to extenuating circumstances.
