Foxwoode Hunt Club Barn Shows

2010 Dates Include January 31st, February 21st and March 14th.

Start Time: 9am, Schooling closes at 8:30.  Schooling prior to the show should be arranged with Nerice.

Concessions are available at 7am thru the conclusion of the show.

Cancellation Policy: Please Read!!!!  Refunds will only be awarded if classes are cancelled due to lack of interest.

  •  All Entries and payments are due in the office by 12pm the Friday before each show or post entry fee will be assessed to anything received after that date. There is no guarantee of entrιe after this date. 

  • Prizes will be awarded for all classes up to 6th place. There will be a division championship for all hunters as well as yearend championship for hunter and equitation classes.

Classes

1.      Special Hunter -  Open thru class 21. The fence height will be adjusted for each division. This class will be judged in a hunter format.

2.      Open Hunter – Open to all riders. Not to exceed 3’3”.

5.      Limit Hunter – Open to riders who have not competed in classes requiring them to jump 3’3” or higher.  This class is also open to professionals riding horses in their second year of showing. Class height not to exceed 3’0.

6.      Limit Hunter

7.      Limit Equitation – not open to professionals or riders who have competed in classes requiring them to jump 3’3” or higher.

8.      Novice  Hunter – Open to riders who have not competed at a MHJA or USEF competition jumping 3’3” or higher. Also open to professionals riding horses in their 1st year of showing. Fence height 2’6”- 2’9”.

10.  Novice Equitation – not open to professionals

 

11.  Low Hunter- Open to riders who have not competed at a MHJA Regular Member or USEF recognized horse show where fences were 3’0” or higher.  Open to professionals mounted on horses in their first year of showing. Fence height not to exceed 2’6”.

13.  Low Equitation – not open to professionals.

 

14.  Maiden Hunter- Open to riders who have not competed in classes requiring them to jump over 2’6”. Baby Green horses or horses in their first year of competition are welcome in this division. No in and outs or oxer rails. Fence height not to exceed 2’3”.

17.  Beginner Hunter – Open to riders in their first or second year of competition. Short Stirrup and Novive Pony riders may enter this division. No oxer rails or in and outs. Fence height’s not to exceed 2’0”.

20.  Cross Pole Hunter – Open to riders in their first year of showing.  If you are not sure you should be in their then you probably shouldn’t. A rider may only cross enter into beginner division at this show.

23.  Pile Pole Hunter- Open to riders in their first year of advanced flatwork.  Maybe not ready for a course of jumps but building up to it. This class will allow you to show off your stuff and the things you have learned in preparation for the crossrail division! Riders may not cross enter into Advanced WTC from this division.

ADULT LEADLINE CLASS $10 donation to Lesson Supplies Fund.

27.  Advanced Walk Trot Canter – Open to riders of any level who have not shown over fences at any level. Rider may be asked to canter in a group. Posting diagonals and leads will be considered.

28.  Beginner Walk Trot Canter- Open to riders in their first year of cantering. Riders will canter one at a time. Posting diagonals will be considered.

    29.  Advanced Walk Trot- Open to riders in their first year of cantering.  Posting diagonals will be considered.

30.  Beginner Walk Trot- Open to riders learning to post and ride in a group and have only possibly started learning to canter.
